Matthew M. Hutmacher, M.S. is a cofounder of the Ann Arbor Pharmacometrics Group (A2PG), a consulting company providing pharmacometric services to the pharmaceutical industry. He received his B.Sc. in Graduate Preparatory Mathematics in 1991 from the University of Illinois with departmental high distinction and his M.Sc. in Mathematical Statistics in 1994 from Northwestern University. In 2008, he was presented with the McKeen Cattell Memorial Award for a public appearing in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, and in 2011, became a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. Matt has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 17 years as a statistician and pharmacometrician. Prior to joining A2PG, Matt was an Associate Director in the Clinical PK/PD-Pharmacometrics group at Pfizer in Ann Arbor, MI. Prior to Pfizer, he was a PK/PD Scientist at Amgen, Inc and a consulting statistician/pharmacometrician for G.D. Searle and Company/Pharmacia/Pfizer. His research interests include PK/PD model development methodologies, clinical trial simulation, and strategic decision making using PK/PD.
