Dr. Jeffrey R. Koup received his B.S. in Pharmacy and Pharm.D., and completed a Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacokinetics at S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo. He has held appointments as Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pediatrics (S.U.N.Y.), and Associate Professor of Pharmacy and Pediatrics (University of Washington). Jeff worked as a Senior Research Scientist in the Clinical Pharmacokinetics Department at F. Hoffman - La Roche Co. Ltd. in Basel, Switzerland. Jeff joined Parke-Davis (now Pfizer) as a Research Associate and was promoted to Director of Full Scale Development in the Pharmacokinetics Dynamics and Metabolism Department (PDM). Most recently as a Research Fellow in PDM, his group of was responsible for study design and PKPD analysis for preclinical studies of drug effect, and translation of these modelling results into the clinic. Jeff served as the Chairman of the Pfizer Global PDM PKPD modeling Network. Jeff has extensive experience with preclinical and clinical pharmacokinetics and PKPD modeling and simulation. He was authored more than 100 publications. He received the Parke-Davis, President's Vision Award in 1990, the W.E. Upjohn Award (2005) and the PDM Values Award (2006) at Pfizer. Since retiring from Pfizer (2008), he has been the owner/manager of Lakeside PKPD, LLC a contract service provider for the Ann Arbor Pharmacometrics Group.
